Mediation
Mediation is a confidential private exploration of a dispute, a problematic situation, or a commercial relationship that might be improved
About Mediation:
Mediation is an opportunity for agreement before a final commitment to the decision of court-based litigation: providing a better understanding of yourself, and your problems or situation, even if the dispute does not immediately reach a solution. Many disputes will settle during mediation, because the creative positive process overcomes uncertainty, legal costs and limitations that an adversarial process brings. Much will depend on the mediator him or herself.
To appoint a mediator is to choose to work together to overcome the drift towards litigation, unfortunate relations and wasted expense and stress.
To appoint two mediators- for example, a lawyer and a surveyor – is to recognise that the depth and scale of the sensitivities needs special input that two can achieve where one might not.
