On the road with the Balfour Matrix

We have had a phenomenal response to our Balfour Matrix Roadshow, which has been presenting a series of seminars in towns right across the UK focusing on Savills unique Balfour Matrix.

The Balfour Matrix is a management mechanism that calculates a rural business’s tax exposure and allows the establishment of a business structure that maximises the chance of obtaining IHT reliefs. It enables rural businesses to tell whether they are likely to qualify for Business Property Relief (BPR), the extent to which they might be liable to IHT and what steps they can take to minimise their exposure.

By collating a range of information, it allows Savills experts to analyse a property’s exposure to IHT and the extent to which it qualifies for BPR. We can then advise on whether action needs to be taken to secure an estate for its heirs, and what steps should be taken to do so.

The seven free seminars were presented by Clive Beer, Savills Head of UK Professional Services, and Savills experts in the region – a formidable combination of national and local expertise and a superb opportunity for invitees to ask questions, catch up with the latest developments in tax planning or sign up to the Balfour Matrix.

The next seminar will be in Hereford on 21 March, with subsequent events as follows:

    22 March – Banbury
3 April – Henley on Thames
    4 April – Cirencester
