Giles Hanglin recognised by British Institute of Agricultural Consultants

Savills is delighted to announce that Giles Hanglin, head of agribusiness in the East, has won the Agricultural Young Consultant of the Year Award.

Run by the British Institute of Agricultural Consultants, the competition aims to celebrate the skilled and enthusiastic young consultants working within the rural Sector.

Giles won the award for his innovative work in identifying and developing opportunities for Solar Photovoltaic installations. Starting with investments on primarily agricultural properties, he then rolled it out to explore other commercial property sectors throughout the UK. “There is huge potential for the industry to capitalise on the Government’s renewable energy targets and Carbon Reduction Commitments,” says Giles.

The award was presented by former agriculture minister Sir Jim Paice at the Institute of Agricultural Management’s national conference at the Royal Society in November. Giles received a cheque for £1000, a perpetual trophy, a framed certificate and membership of BIAC for 2013.
