Going green is no longer a buzzword. For investors and developers, it could be the key to creating profitable buildings.

The Briefing

- All new commercial buildings need to be zero carbon by 2019.
- A zero carbon building could add a construction premium of up to 12.5%.
- From April 2016, landlords will be unable to refuse any requests from tenants to improve a property's energy efficiency. 
- The market has yet to price in the capital and rental value of sustainable buildings.
