Gran Fondo 2016
Sunday 11 September 2016
Over the last couple of years we raised £10,000 for a couple of great charities. So, first and foremost, a big thank you to everyone who has taken part and supported us. With a growing reputation we can hopefully build on that success this year. A reputation built on a choice of challenging and pretty 40/80 routes, a family friendly environment, all rounded off with great free food and a free craft beer.
Once again, this year we will be starting and finishing from the tranquil setting of the Gog Magog Hills farm shop, with both routes taking in the beautiful South Cambridgeshire countryside, with just a hint of Essex thrown in for good measure (we needed some hills).
Savills returns as our lead sponsor and our chosen charity is Tom's Trust, whose volunteers have provided such stalwart support. The Farm Shop’s Big Green Egg BBQs will be fired up again and the craft beer will flow.
Garmin will have demo units available for use on the day and have kindly donated £1,000s worth of Garmin goodies for the free prize draw for all entrants.
There will a number of prizes to be won on the day including Garmin goodies, SIS energy products, Lezyne bike tool accessories and seats from Sella Italia.
This year there is a big focus on food for cyclists (to reload post race) and for the non-cyclists to enjoy in the sunshine. So please sign up send to friends and family and spread the news far and wide.
Please note that one rider under 16 can ride free when accompanied by a paying adult.
