London New Homes launch proves quality and good pricing will sell
The London New Homes team saw more than 200 people flock to a launch of a new scheme in north London last week. Sales staff at Hornsey Road Apartments, a Grainger scheme in the site of the old Hornsey Road Baths, took ten reservations on the night and are expecting to make several more following the hugely successful launch evening.
More than 90% of the would-be buyers are owner-occupiers, with a large proportion being parents buying for their children. Luke Mills, Head of North London New Homes, said the quality of the scheme, the fact that it was completed stock, and the extremely realistic pricing was behind the launch's success. "With prices starting at £175,000 for a good-sized one-bedroom apartment, we were confident that we would find some serious buyers, and so it has proved".
The former Hornsey Road Baths was built in 1895 and boasted four swimming pools, 125 slipper baths, a public wash-house and a laundry, It was closed nearly 100 years later due to lack of funding and lay disused until it was acquired by Grainger Plc.
