Sanctuary Buildings, Great Smith Street, London SW1

We advised DIFA on the acquisition of the headquarters for the Department for Education and Skills in June 1997. They acquired the asset from the original developer, Land Securities, for a price of £109.45 million to reflect a net initial yield of 7.67%. The building provides 19,045 sq m (205,000 sq ft) of quality offices in a core Westminster location, only metres from Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament. We sold the asset for DIFA in July 2005 for £143 million.
