Commercial Development

Savills Commercial Development Team in Glasgow comprises a group of senior Directors with expertise in planning, valuation, construction, agency, investment and funding.

Whether the proposed scheme is wholly or partially pre-let or entirely speculative; the team work with their clients to fully understand the range of potential values, costs, risks and return.

The team has been responsible for advising on some of Glasgow’s largest speculative offices schemes, pre-let hotel developments and pre-let and direct let student accommodation.

We are able to provide advice on the full range of funding structures including full forward funding, forward commitments or JV structures.  Our experience also includes working with debt providers and their valuers.


Residential Development

The Residential Development team are responsible for providing new and existing Savills clients with consultancy and agency advice on all aspects of development, for clients  looking to acquire or dispose of land or buildings with residential development potential. The team also specialise in selling residential investment assets and work closely with Savills specialist student housing and affordable housing teams in advising clients in these particular fields.
We provide clients with development viability appraisals, inform on development market mix of product and values ,advise on appropriate marketing strategies and negotiate with other development and legal consultants on all aspects the property or site.

Planning

Savills Scottish Planning Team is one of the largest planning consultancy businesses operating across Scotland and is part of a UK planning team of over 170 planning professionals. We have specialist knowledge of Scottish planning policy and practice and are therefore able to guide you through the complexities of the system and have a good track record of getting positive outcomes for clients.
In particular, we provide specialist planning advice to deliver complex commercial, energy, retail and residential proposals.  As qualified planners, surveyors and environmental assessors we are able to clearly demonstrate the commercial, environmental and economic benefits of proposals to local interest groups, government agencies, council officers and politicians.  We work closely with all our Savills colleagues who appreciate that planning plays an integral part in all transactions involving land and buildings and that gaining a good planning permission is crucial to a site’s value.
