Guide to Brook Green

What is Brook Green like?

The area is famous for attractive period residences, including charming tree lined Victorian residential streets, elegant Georgian architecture and a range of new developments. Brook Green, Hammersmith and Shepherd’s Bush attract families and young professionals alike. Families come to the area attracted by the prospect of some of London’s finest schools, and affluent young professionals are drawn to the cosmopolitan vibe and proximity to the city.

Brook Green is known for its village feel and strong sense of community centred around the Green itself. Brook Green juxtaposes suburbia and urban living through a combination of excellent transport links, tree lined streets, quirky local shops and a fantastic array of local pubs.

Hammersmith is bordered by Fulham, Chiswick and Earls Court situated on the banks of the River Thames with London’s first suspension bridge separating it from Barnes. The area is home to the Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith Apollo and a high street experiencing significant regeneration. It is a transport hub with four underground lines, a central bus station and excellent access to the A4, Heathrow Airport and beyond. One of the most sought after areas is Brackenbury Village, popular for its attractive Victorian houses, charming cottages and the excellent schools.
