The property is a Grade II* Listed building, which was designed by Norman Shaw and Ernest Newton and was built in 1904. It is situated in the St. James’s Conservation Area and the Central Activities Zone (CAZ). The building was originally built for the Alliance Assurance Company, with the ground, basement and sub-basement floors used as business premises; the entresol, first, second and third floors “bachelors flats”, with servants rooms and kitchens on the fourth floor.
Currently it has a mixed use as offices (B1),permanent and temporary residential and retail(A1). The existing GIA is approximately 39,192 sq ft(3,641 sq m). The existing NIA is approximately 28,262 sq ft (2,626 sq m).
