Hub Director - Peterborough

Job Description:

  • To lead The Hub team & all the services that it provides.
  • To plan for and develop / expand the Hub services as per strategy.
  • To engage with the wider business and act as an ambassador to The Hub.
  • To work with the Compliance Team to ensure highest standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:


  • To lead the team ensuring a positive & effective working environment
  • To arrange team meetings and ensure good levels of communication
  • Ensuring efficient and effective communication with branch offices
  • Working with the HR team to handle staff matters
  • Co-ordinating appraisals & ensuring they are undertaken in a timely fashion

Risk Management:

  • Co-ordinating with the Compliance Officer over risk management
  • Ensuring all relevant work undertaken is CDM compliant / Works Orders issued
  • Ensuring that chosen contractors hold the requisite qualifications

Business Operations:

  • Delivery of property compliance via The Hub & resulting reporting
  • Development of the procurement offer
  • Development of the planned maintenance offer
  • Oversight of the supplier approval team
  • Development of tenant referencing & TDS administration
  • Seeking out continuous improvement to processes & efficiencies
  • Controlling costs and ensuring effective recharging for services provided


  • Liaise with both internal and external auditors.

Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrate excellent leadership skills
  • Demonstrate good project & change management skills
  • Demonstrate close attention to detail, be well organised and be prepared to take the initiative
  • Be a strong team player
  • Be articulate, professional and persuasive with a good telephone manner
  • Have the ability to work with relatively high degree of autonomy with minimal supervision
  • Be adaptable and above all keen and enthusiastic
  • Show a willingness to learn through internal training as well as independently
  • Be prepared to travel (within the UK)
  • Facilities Management a preference
  • Numerate and technically competent
  • Strong attention to detail and a practical pragmatic common sense approach to management
  • Ability to deal with challenging mandates and cope with a high work load
  • Excellent IT, problem solving, analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Microsoft Office – Intermediate to Advanced
  • Excellent management and delegation skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Full, clean driving licence
