Western Region PR Manager - Bristol

Job Description:

A full time appointment for a regional PR Manager covering 14 offices across the Western region. Based close to Bristol, travel will be required between regional offices, to London or other offices outside of the region.  Property disciplines covered include residential, lettings, development, new homes, rural and planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Content creation

  • Creating a range of content for and on behalf of the regional offices.
  • Copywriting for editorial, advertorial, blog, social and a number of specific marketing projects
  • Localising national and research-based stories for regional audiences
  • Creating content for Savills Intranet (‘Connect’) and newsletters

Media relations

  • Promotion through the local and regional newspapers, business and trade press and where appropriate, TV and radio, of aspects of the Savills business and employees in the West.
  • Management of a reactive and proactive press office for the Western region.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the news, business, property and agricultural editors of key regional newspapers
  • Establish and maintain relations with key business and trade publications around the region

Media monitoring

  • Monitoring of media coverage and reporting on success to central press office and regional business heads

General

  • Manage and maintain relationships with the national press office and other regional PR managers
  • Liaison with internal communications team, social team and Savills website team to ensure all news, stories and features are distributed via the internal and external Savills channels as appropriate
  • Liaison and training with office PR reps to ensure effective communication around the region
  • Working with residential marketing team on a number of specific projects
  • Maintenance of filing systems – both paper and electronic.
  • Monthly PR reports for the residential business and others as required
  • Present at monthly office meetings where required
  • Report to head of PR on a monthly basis on activity across the region
  • Visit offices within region on a regular basis
  • In conjunction with the national press office, advising on crisis communications as and when required
  • Advising regional teams on getting the best out of social media in accordance with company policy

 Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of three years experience in PR or associated fields i.e. journalism
  • Must have an excellent and proven copywriting and content creation skills
  • Experience in handling clients and advising on expectations
  • The ability to identify stories
  • Journalist liaison and relationships – adherence to deadlines
  • Good understanding of digital communications and social media
  • Ability to work as part of a team in the West and as part of a wider team of press officers across the UK.
  • Ability to work with and report to a number of different stakeholders simultaneously across the business
  • Must be a self starter, able to manage own workload and deliver results
  • Sound judgment
  • Previous experience in property or agricultural PR an advantage.
  • Experience of dealing with external agencies an advantage
