Technology Trainer - London and Midlands

Job Description:

To deliver training and technical mentoring to the staff of Savills UK and its subsidiaries on all systems in place on the standard Savills desktop. This includes but is not limited to: Microsoft Office 2007/2013 suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Dynamics; Promapweb; Connect (employee intranet and networking tool), APR Terrier, Reapit.

Maternity Cover starting late June 2017.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver training classes and personal workshops on the Savills desktop applications
  • Design/update course materials for Microsoft 2007/2013 desktop applications
  • Ensure current knowledge of relevant systems; individual specialisms will evolve and be supported
  • Liaise (via the Technology Training Manager) with PMs/developers/testers on updates to systems and on new systems
  • Build relationships around the businesses and liaise with Office Coordinators to establish training requirements
  • Visit assigned offices on a regular basis
  • Act as the lead trainer on new system rollouts (when/as required)
  • Maintain good working relationships with all members of Business Systems and the business
  • Knowledge of audio visual equipment and online meeting/training solutions
  • Set up and network a set of 6 laptops in a remote office
  • Analyse and solve onsite connection problems with training kit

Candidate Profile:

  • Humility in dealing with Business staff and working with them to find answers to questions where systems are not the only determining factor.
  • Mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with all levels of the business.

  • A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance.
  • Keen for new experience, responsibility and accountability.
  • Willingness to work overtime where necessary.
  • Happy and able to work alone and remote from your team.
  • Happy, able and willing to travel, often being away from home for several days at a time.
  • Ability to concentrate on several areas of work at one time, prioritising work load, delivering consistently to deadlines and reacting positively to changes and conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure whilst keeping calm.
    Ability to mentor and coach staff to fulfil the potential of their technology provision.
  • Experience of IT Training in Microsoft Office and Dynamics.
  • A classroom trainer but with the skills to deliver online training in virtual classes, as well as working in a one-to-one situation (Personal Workshop).
  • Experience of Savills or a competitor company in the property services industry.
  • TAP Training Delivery; TAP Training Design; TAP Blended and/or E-learning.
  • MOS certifications in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
