HR Officer - Margaret Street and Finsbury Circus

Job Description:

This is a permanent position based in the Graduate HR team requiring high levels of self-motivation and drive to ensure the effective delivery of an award winning UK graduate programme. Working with graduates and their teams to ensure great experience across all pathways, the role ultimately contributes to our high APC pass rate and fantastic experience for our graduates.

To support our APC pathways with a special focus on Planning and Development, Residential, Building Surveying and Capital Allowances (RICS) and Planning and Urban Design (RTPI) (approximately 150 graduates).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accurate and timely processes:
  • Support the graduate on-boarding process post and pre join
  • Event organisation and hosting including annual graduate UK Board lunches, Meet and Greet and Induction
  • Rotation and experience support – ensuring graduates are provided with the right exposure to obtain their  APC
  • Oversee rotation support, appraisal documents, diary / deadline management, HR system (HR.net) and IT updates
  • Provide experience and Company procedure guidance and support to graduates and their teams, supervisors, counsellors and mentors where necessary
  • Monitoring performance and absence cases with line managers, graduates and HR Business Partners
  • Global rotation, placements and secondments – support to understand opportunities, candidates and teams
  • Support the annual remuneration process
  • Deliver exceptional contract administration, HR.net including regular reporting and updating to maintain accurate records
  • Monthly payroll administration including changes for current graduates and leavers
  • Support with Graduate Committee initiatives
  • Graduate to Newly Qualified transition – APC preparation assistance, contract and payroll administration and event organisation of the Newly Qualified Drinks

Candidate Profile:

  • Exceptional planning and organisational skills including ability to manage own workload
  • Exceptional interpersonal / communication skills, flexible style when working with all levels
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Resilient, adaptable and above all, keen and enthusiastic
  • Sensitivity, discretion and diplomacy
  • Energetic and self-motivated
  • Pro-active / takes ownership of responsibilities
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines and thrives in a fast-paced working team
  • Previous experience in graduate recruitment, training, event organisation is advantageous
  • Knowledge of employment law
  • Immediate - advanced level MS Office is advantageous
  • Understanding of APC and qualification processes is valuable but not essential
