Commercial holding on the Somerset Levels sells in just two months

23 August 2012

Daws Farm, a commercial holding on the Somerset Levels, extending to over 311 acres, has been sold by Savills.

Offering a Farm house, a former cottage, a range of commercial farm buildings and extensive arable and grassland, the property drew interest from parties across the south west, with competitive bidding resulting in a sale within two months of launch.

Penny Dart from Savills comments, “Daws Farm is very much a working property, with significant opportunity for mixed commercial farming.  Its patchwork of arable and grassland is suited to either dairy or a mixed arable/livestock unit.

“The farmhouse itself is the ultimate blank canvas for updating or extending to create a larger family home.  We knew that this farm had potential and this was reflected in the level of interest, and ultimately the price achieved.”
