Canmoor’s towering success in Chiswick
03 August 2012
Canmoor and Harbert Management Corporation, advised by Savills and Frost Meadowcroft, have completed two deals at Chiswick Tower, 389 Chiswick High Road, London bringing the office building to 95% let.
Air China Ltd and OpenMarket have both agreed new 10-year leases on 2,800 sq ft (260 sq m) suites at rents in excess of £30 per sq ft (£323 per sq m). The Chinese airline operator will be located on the 11th floor West Wing whilst OpenMarket, the ecommerce software company, will move into the 15th floor West Wing. These deals follow the recent success of leasing 7,000 sq ft (650 sq m) at the scheme to Ferrovial Agroman, one of the world’s largest infrastructure companies.
Olivia Wood at Savills, comments: “Since Canmoor and Harbert invested in Chiswick Tower in 2010, the property has undergone significant refurbishment bringing the premises in line with modern office accommodation. Coupled with strong tube, rail and road links as well as superb onsite parking, Chiswick Tower is one of West London’s major landmark office buildings and the success of this is reflected in these recent deals.”
Chiswick Tower totals 149,836 sq ft (13,920 sq ft) across 18 floors. Savills and Frost Meadowcroft are jointly instructed to market the remaining 5,535 sq ft (514 sq m).
Both Air China Ltd and OpenMarket were unrepresented.
