31 May 2012
Salmon Harvester Properties Ltd and Raspin Properties, represented by Savills and Wadham and Isherwood, have let space at the new Queen’s Square development at Ascot Business Park in Ascot to Handelsbanken Ltd.
Recently rated the second strongest bank in the world by Bloomberg, Handelsbanken Ltd has agreed a new 11-year lease at 2 Queen’s Square, which totals 1,605 sq ft (149 sq m), at a rent of £25per sq ft (£269 per sq m). This latest letting is part of the banks wider strategy to expand in the UK, where it already has 106 branches.
Richard Payton, branch manager at Handelsbanken, comments: “For us, the branch is the bank. We seek to nurture long term relationships with our customers, which has resulted in our growing success. Ascot Business Park gives us the right mix of convenience and quality that we have been searching for to open our new Ascot branch.”
“Adding such a high-profile tenant to our growing list of successful occupiers is a great privilege and accolade for us”, comments Vanessa Durham, Ascot Business Park’s Marketing Manager. “It endorses our own strength in providing a magnificent backdrop for our tenants, reflecting their own on-going success across the board”.
The deal follows a recent letting to facilities management group FES FM Ltd who has taken a new five-year lease at 3 Queen’s Square totalling 2,165 sq ft (201 sq m) and will pay an average annual rent of £25per sq ft (£269 per sq m).
