25 May 2012

The Jones and Elvidge Property Partnership, represented by Savills, has sold North Plant at St Neots, Cambridgeshire to Reco UK, the Huntingdon based agriculture and groundcare machinery suppliers.  The property was marketed at a guide price of £1.5m.

The North Plant totals 57,442 sq ft (5,337 sq m) within a 2.75 acre (1.1 hectare) site and comprises a detached steel portal frame warehouse along with office space arranged over two floors.  The property is located in a prominent position with road frontage facing St Neots mainline station.

Phillip Ridoutt, of Savills Cambridge, comments: “The location of North Plant provides strong transport links close to the A1, A14 and M11.  This sale underlines the ongoing demand for prominently located warehouse units presenting good value in the current climate.”

Derrick Wade Waters acted jointly with Savills representing The Jones and Elvidge Property Partnership. Reco UK was represented by unrepresented.

Savills is also marketing the neighbouring South Plant on a freehold or leasehold basis as a whole or part sale. The building comprises a total of 101,000 sq ft (9,383 sq m) of detached warehouse space.
