Savills is the most active planning consultant in the top 100
22 May 2012
For the second year in a row Savills has topped Planning magazine’s list of the most active planning consultancies in the Top 100 Regeneration Projects. Savills is working on 13 projects, three more than its nearest rivals.
The Planning team are working on a huge range of projects from the Olympic Park to housing estate renewal schemes. Roger Hepher, Head of Savills Planning & Regeneration comments: ‘Resurgence is probably too strong a word, but we might see some resumption of some public funding going into regeneration schemes. In a world where interest rates are so low, investors struggle to find somewhere to put their money that’s going to generate a significant return, and the right sort of real estate investment will do that ’
The report, published by Planning magazine, shows Savills closest competitor was GVA with 10 projects in the Top 100, followed by Barton Wilmore with 8, Drivers Jonas Deloitte and Turley Associates both with 4.
The top 5 projects on the list are: The Olympic Park, East London, MediaCity, Salford, Magna Park, Milton Keynes, Glasshoughton Colliery and Coke Works, Castleford, West Yorkshire and Broughton Gate, Milton Keynes.
