Italian retailer opens new German HQ in Düsseldorf
09 July 2012
Italian fashion label Replay, advised by international real estate advisor Savills, has taken approximately 1,600 sq m of office space and a showroom in a converted grain storage building in Düsseldorf harbour.
The premises will become the retailer’s new German headquarters when the building is completed at the beginning or 2013.
The listed Plange Mühle complex comprises a former early 20th century wheat mill and two grain storage facilities in the city‘s harbour district, a rapidly expanding business hub. Architect Christoph Ingenhoven has redesigned one of these grain storage facilities to become an attractive, six-storey property with a total floorspace of 3,800 sqm, of which denim label Replay will be the anchor tenant.
Stephan Jung, Head of Retail Agency Savills Germany, says: "The Plange Mühle is an exciting redevelopment project that fits in well in the Düsseldorf harbour district. The area is attracting an increasing level of interest from national and international occupiers and investors.“
