I CAN pays tribute to Savills grads for outstanding OFSTED report
12 April 2011
The school, which is owned and operated by national charity I CAN, has 49 pupils aged between five and 11 years. All pupils have a statement of special needs. Savills graduates have worked with the charity since 2008 undertaking fundraising activities as well committing a week per year on site at the school, providing a team of workers to undertake building and maintenance projects.
Paul McIntyre, Corporate Fundraiser for I CAN, comments: "Savills Graduate Charity Committee have made huge efforts over the last three years to support Meath School. Our outstanding Ofsted report is a testament to the hard work of all the staff and volunteers at the school to make Meath the excellent centre for education it is. So a huge thank you from all of us at I CAN to the Savills team for their continuing and much valued commitment to Meath School and I CAN."
Ema Saunders, training manager at Savills, adds: "This is a huge tribute to over three years of Savills graduates who have kept on the work by the founder committee and achieved some fantastic sums through fundraising. It shows that Savills graduates can demonstrate the work hard play hard ethos which is so important to the firm."
I CAN works with children with speech, language and communication needs as well as raising awareness of an issue that is experienced by 1 in 10 children in the UK in its most severe form and who need long term support. I CAN exists to ensure that no child is left out or left behind because of a difficulty speaking or understanding.
